| 内容記述 | To mitigate regional disparities for healthcare services due to geographic imbalances of physicians, the Asahikawa Medical University began providing telemedicine services in 1994. In addition, the Asahikawa Medical University Center for Telemedicine was established in 1999 to create an environment from where a wide range of clinical services could be offered remotely. Concurrently with the promotion of telemedicine, the University has been actively engaged in the research and development of information and communication technology (ICT)-based systems and became able to provide “seamless medical support” for outpatients and inpatients before hospitalization and after discharge by linking such systems in a coordinated manner. |
